Privacy policy
This policy describes how Media Kit Club (mediakortti.com, mediakit.club, app.mediakit.club and api.mediakit.club) processes personal data. The service is a media card tool for creators. You can connect Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Threads and X.
Controller
The operator of Media Kit Club is the data controller. We process data to provide the service, keep accounts secure, and show profile, post and audience statistics on your media card when you connect a social account.
Data we process
Depending on how you use the service, this can include your name and email address; a login session cookie; CookieHub consent records; optional analytics and advertising identifiers if you accept those cookies; messages and contact details you send through live chat; tenant membership and invites; media card content you enter (including bio, services, collaborations and a profile photo you upload or import from a connected account); and, for each social network you connect, the handle, profile information, follower counts, posts and insights that network provides (such as reach, engagement and, where available, demographics). We may store a combined audience view derived from those sources. A public or unlisted media card is visible to anyone with the link.
Service providers
We use the following processors and platforms. They only receive the data needed to provide their part of the service.
If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google authenticates you. We receive a Google account identifier, name and email so we can create or sign in to your Media Kit Club account. If you connect YouTube, we also receive channel profile, follower, post and insight data through YouTube APIs, including demographics when YouTube provides them. You can disconnect YouTube in the app, which removes that cached data from your media card. Google’s processing is described in Google’s privacy policy.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how the website and app are used (for example page views, traffic sources, device and browser information, and a truncated IP address). Optional analytics cookies are set only if you accept them in CookieHub.
Meta
If you connect Instagram, Facebook or Threads, we receive profile and insights data through Meta’s APIs. Instagram connections are for Creator or Business accounts. You can disconnect each network in the app, which removes that network’s cached statistics from your media card. Meta’s processing is described in Meta’s privacy policy.
TikTok
If you connect TikTok, we receive profile, follower, post and insight data that TikTok makes available. You can disconnect TikTok in the app, which removes that cached data from your media card. TikTok’s processing is described in TikTok’s privacy policy.
X
If you connect X, we receive profile, follower, post and insight data that X makes available. You can disconnect X in the app, which removes that cached data from your media card. X’s processing is described in X’s privacy policy.
SendGrid
If you sign in with an email code, or if someone invites you to a tenant, we send that email through SendGrid. SendGrid receives the recipient address and the message content (the login code or invite link).
Microsoft Azure
The application, database, logs and monitoring run on Microsoft Azure (Sweden). Azure hosts the data we store to operate Media Kit Club, including account, tenant, media card and cached social statistics.
CookieHub
We use CookieHub to show a cookie consent banner and to store your cookie choices. CookieHub processes the consent record (for example whether you accepted or declined optional cookies) so we can respect that choice on later visits.
Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people use the site, including heatmaps and session recordings. Clarity may collect device and browser information, mouse movements, clicks and scrolling. Optional Clarity cookies are set only if you accept them in CookieHub. Microsoft’s processing is described in Microsoft’s privacy statement.
Microsoft Ads
We use Microsoft Ads to measure advertising campaigns, including conversions from ads. Optional advertising cookies are set only if you accept them in CookieHub. Microsoft’s processing is described in Microsoft’s privacy statement.
Crisp Chat
We use Crisp Chat to offer live chat support on the website and in the app. If you start a conversation, Crisp processes the messages you send, optional contact details you provide (such as your name or email), and technical information needed to run the chat (for example device and browser information). Optional Crisp cookies are set only if you accept them in CookieHub.
Zernio
Zernio processes social account connections and insights on our behalf so we can display statistics on your media card for the networks you connect. Zernio is a processor for this social data, not a public-facing part of the Media Kit Club product.
Cookies
We use an HTTP-only session cookie to keep you signed in. It is required for the service to work and is not used for advertising. We also use CookieHub for consent, Google Analytics for usage statistics, Microsoft Clarity for usability analytics, Microsoft Ads to measure advertising campaigns, and Crisp Chat for live support. Analytics, Clarity, Microsoft Ads and Crisp cookies are optional and depend on your CookieHub choice.
Retention
We keep account and media card data while your tenant exists. You can delete a tenant or your account in Settings. Cached statistics for a social network are deleted when you disconnect that network or delete the tenant. Login codes expire after a short time. Tenant invites expire after seven days. Logs and backups are kept only as long as needed for security and operations.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and you may object to processing where applicable. You can delete your account and tenants you own in the app. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Finland that is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutettu).
